Back in January this year I made a few goals.

(image found on google)

One goal I had is I wanted to read 20 books this year. Now I know that may not sound like a lot to some people, but at the time I made this goal I was working A LOT of hours, and honestly didn’t have a lot of time. So I thought 20 books was a good place to start. Well I am happy to say that as of today I have read 26 books this year! So now I am upping my goal to 35 before the end of this year. Now 35 may sound like a lot, but I have got into a kick of reading short stories, most of these only take me a few hours to read so as long as I stay away from anything 500+ pages I should be good. šŸ™‚ Wish me luck!

Another goal I made this year was to get into shape. This is a goal i have struggled with for the past few years. See my dad passed away when he was only 51 of a heart attack in his sleep. I wouldn’t say he was super unhealthy, but he had been a diabetic since he was 17 and diabetes run in his side of the family. He had type one diabetes, and was on insulin as soon as they diagnosed him. Ā I know that if I don’t take care of myself that is something I may have to deal with. So I have tried really hard this year to get into a workoutĀ routine, and stick with it. Sadly the last couple of weeks I’ve been a bit of a lazy butt, and haven’t done much. But as soon as I get over this head cold I am getting back to it. (I promise this isn’t an excuse, I just dont want to snot on my Wii while boxing. Or stop every 2 minutes to cough and blow my nose. haha) I have done pretty well with this goal, so far I’ve lost 9 pounds, and my clothes are fitting better. šŸ™‚ Yay!

This year I also wanted to learn to sew well I am not the best at it yet, but I am making progress and I have 2 skirts, a scarf, and half a shirt to show for it. I would have my 3rd skirt finished, but I had a little mishap that I have to fix before I can go on. Hopefully I get that finished soon, cause I am running out of time to get my Halloween costume finished. Ekk! Thankfully I don’t have to do much, just make a skirt for myself and some ears. I can’t wait!

I also have a few goals this year that sadly I am not as close to finishing as I’d like to be. I want to get my craft room functioning I told a friend the other day I think my craft room is where half finished projects come to die, I am also SUPER SUPER lazy when it comes to cleaning up in here. I kinda take the no one but me goes in there so what does it matterĀ approachĀ to it. Well it has gotten to the point where I cannot finish anything cause I can’t find whatever it is I need to finish it. Ugh So I have made it a goal that before the end of the year I will go through EVERYTHING in my craft room and organize it so I can use it, or throw it away if I can’t, or maybe even give it away.Ā

make plans

(image found on google)

Every goal needs a plan. Step one of this plan is to get my desk cleaned off completely so that I have a place to go through stuff. I think on that note I am going to go get to work and find my desk! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I actually had some time to spend with my husband this weekend, it was really nice. šŸ™‚Ā

For those of youĀ whoĀ haveĀ Smartphoneā€™s, what apps do you find yourself addicted too?

For me,Ā itā€™s a few different thingsā€¦

First off my kindle app, I get emails daily about the freeĀ EBooksā€™Ā that are available, and it never fails thereā€™s at least 1 (okay maybe all of them) that I just have to download. Itā€™s really kind of insane.Ā TheĀ last time I checked I had something like 400 books on my kindle. But,Ā somehow I never can find something I want to read, which causes me to have to buy a new book. I have a goal to read 20 books this year, which gives me the perfect excuse to keep downloading more books. Anyone else like this? I truly have a problem. Hehe But,Ā I guess it could be worse.

Next up Candy Crushā€¦ Iā€™d just like to say youā€™re a big meanieĀ toĀ who ever sent me a request on this game. This game pretty much took over my Angry Birds game addiction. I could sit and play for HOURS which is what happens becauseĀ I have like 40+ friends who also play and send me lives. Itā€™s like their feeding my drug additionā€¦ Hmm… Maybe I should change that to candy addition? Itā€™s kindĀ ofĀ funnyĀ becauseĀ at work I can talk to random strangers about candy crushĀ sinceĀ a good portion of the people I come into contact with playĀ theĀ game. Itā€™s funny how frustrated some people (myself) get when they canā€™t beat a level.

Pinterestā€¦Ā UghĀ ā€¦Ā Like,Ā it wasnā€™t bad enough that every time I got on my laptop I was glued to Pinterest halfĀ of theĀ (all) night. If you donā€™t already know,I love to make arts and crafts, so this website is pure evil. And now I have the app on my phone and anytime I have a few minutes Iā€™m searching for what I want to make next. Well,Ā for theĀ few minutes that Iā€™m not playing candy crush Iā€™m on this appā€¦ Even opening Pinterest long enough for me to take this picture was hard.Ā I pinned like 6 things!

Those are the main 3 apps that seem to keep me busy every free second I have, which usually is not a lot, but gosh those off days sometimes I’ve got to fight with myself to get things done and stay away from my phone.

I’d really love to hear what apps are your favorites! šŸ™‚

P.S. My husband and I went to the book store today and I got 3 more books. Haha I seriously am a nerd. ā¤

Don’t forget to visit me on Facebook!

Why I’ve been gone.

Hey everyone if your still out there,

I am really sorry about being gone for quite sometime, life has been very busy and due to it being so busy I haven’t been working on my jewelry as much, and seeing as this is a blog about my jewelry I haven’t had anything to post about. I haven’t made anything new it quite some time also. šŸ˜¦Ā

That being said, I am going to rework this blog into a blog about whatever I am currently working, whether it be cooking, jewelry, cleaning, what’s going on with my work, or the new book I am reading. Basically anything and everything that I do daily. I really think this is going to be a great change!

I am going to be a way a bit longer, I want to get everything in order and take the time to change the blog around to better reflect the changes I plan to make. I do hope that you will stick with me, I know that I am going to have a blast sharing more of the things I do. I do far more then just make jewelry, cooking is one of my biggest passions and so I foresee TONS of recipes, and my reactions to the good and the bad things that I cook! šŸ™‚Ā

So please join me on this ride and if you would send me what you would like to see in the future, I’d really love the feed back!Ā

I hope you have a great day, I am going to get to work now on the changes!
